LOVE is our buoy.

 

Dear Mrs. Figgins:

My brother and I are very close.  He’s married (2nd time) with 2.5 kids and a partner at a big law firm.  He’s also having an affair.  Make that 3 in the last 2 years.   He thrives on living on the edge.  He’s miserable.   

I am an auto mechanic, married to a wonderful girl, have three children, and barely make ends meet.  I’m in love with my family.  Yet I think I’m letting them down because I’m not a great provider like my brother.

Is this something I can correct?

Dear Alex:

What is it that you are wanting to correct?  A great marriage?  A great family?  Sounds like there’s nothing to correct.  

Love keeps life right-side-up.  Love gives us balance.  Love is our buoy.  Without love, we have a hole in our very being.  Without love we are empty, nothing is complete.

It seems to me you have it right.  

Re-count your blessings Alex, they are priceless.
