Dear Mrs. Figgins:

I broke up with my boyfriend of 3 years.  He has lied to me on more than one occasion about his involvement some dishonest business deals.

Mum thinks I did the right thing.   A couple of my friends think I need to give him another chance.

My gut feeling is I need to listen to my gut feeling.

Your advise?
